edited_x1000.jpgPortraits aren't simply a way of recording your image. They are a way of communicating who you are to the world. They need to say something about you.

I offer a full portrait service tailored to you needs whether that be a single person in the shot, a family or the family pet.

Sessions can either be at my studio in Chapel-en-le-Frith or at a location of your choice.

My own studio is served with flash or natural light and you'll be able to see images immediately. We can adjust and select images there and then.

I can even arrange for a stylist to attend so that you can look you absolute best.

It's true to say that anyone can take a reasonable photograph these days. Digital photography has made image creation really easy. The difficult thing is capturing the essence of someone, that small detail that says who they are.

I use a number of techniques to arrive at the perfect image from studio lights to natural light or a combination of the two.

A portrait session will generally take about an hour, or more with a stylist. This gives a time for you to relax and let the real you shine through. Few people feel comfortable in front of a camera and that little time lets people relax.

A portrait shoot will often result many images for you to choose from depending on style and clothing  changes etc.

I am happy to provide images in any format you require for example website,  & profile pictures .

Many people simple want a disk with the images on that they can get printed as and when they are require. That's no problem and is included in the price as well as a copyright release form so that you won't be held up at the print counter.

Of course you may want the images printed and I can arrange for a number of finishes to meet your requirements from simple 7 x 5 prints to canvas prints to display on your wall.

It's a good idea to have a think about what you want from your image; for instance the style i.e. black & white with a journalistic style or traditional family portrait. Also think where your images are going to be placed. If they are for publication you need to be looking into the page so images from both sides need to be made. If the portrait is wanted for hanging think about the décor of the room to be hung in; a red background might look hideous on a green wall.

In all cases please get in touch via my General Enquires page so that we can discuss how to create some perfect images for you.
